Dayton, OH – June 3, 2003 -- Profound Logic Software created a new set of server configuration tools for iSeries developers. The tools allow iSeries programmers and administrators to configure the HTTP Classic or the HTTP Powered by Apache server for use by RPG Smart Pages or conventional RPG/CGI programs.

Traditionally, configuring the HTTP server used to be a tricky and complicated process. But with the introduction of the new HTTP Server Configuration Tools, developers can configure the HTTP server in minutes. The tools are packaged with the RPGsp Development Environment.

RPGsp can ask the user a set of questions and then automatically create, configure, and start an HTTP server instance. RPGsp supports both the classic and the apache server configuration formats. The user is given the option of automatically adding advanced HTTP server features such as password protection, limiting the process to 1 thread, keeping an access log, or keeping an error log. RPGsp also allows you to make manual entries in the HTTP configuration.
