Dayton, OH – November 25, 2003 -- Profound Logic Software introduced Absolute Positioning in its RPGsp Page Designer today. Absolute positioning simplifies the task of arranging HTML elements on a page by utilizing Cascading Style Sheets. Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) features allow HTML elements to be positioned using an x and y coordinate system, independent of their position within the HTML stream.

RPGsp allows users to drag and drop absolute elements anywhere on an HTML page. Absolutely positioned elements can even be overlaid over other elements. This is different from standard HTML elements, which must follow the top-to-bottom flow of HTML code. RPGsp also offers several options like “bring-to-front” or “send-to-back” for controlling the Z-index (or depth) of absolute elements.

The RPGsp Page Designer provides a number of controls that can be inserted as absolute. In addition, all HTML elements including selectable text and RPG variables can be converted to the absolute format. To help with element positioning, developers can enable a built-in invisible grid.
