Source Control

The Source Control dialog allows you to specify exit point programs and commands to be used by the RPGsp environment. These exit points are useful for integrating RPGsp with change management and source control packages.

Change Management Exit Points

Change management exit points are used for integrating with 3-rd party change management and source control systems. Here, you can specify commands to run on the iSeries for the following events:

• Before/after a document is opened
• Before/after a document is saved
• Before/after a document is compiled
• When a document is checked out
• When a document is checked in

For each event, you can run any valid system or user defined command or program. You can use the following substitution variables to pass source information to the commands:

• &L - Library
• &F - Source file
• &N - Member/object name
• &I - IFS source path

The Check Out and Check In exit points allow you to integrate with any iSeries source control utility. RPGsp includes a source control system of its own. See The Integrated Source Control System.

Set Default Exit Points

Clicking this button will add RPGsp's Integrated Source Control programs to the appropriate exit points.

Clear Exit Points

Clicking this button will clear the exit points of all programs and commands you have specified.
