Using the RPG subs drop-down

The editor will organize your code into sections and present them in a drop-down box on the toolbar. This makes it easier to work in a source file with many subs or many RPGLE scripts.

The drop-down will show you the section of code you are currently in, and also allow you to jump to any section by selecting it. The sections can include any of the following:

• The MAIN section of an RPG program or module
• A File Declaration section within your RPG code
• A Subroutine
• A Subprocedure
• An RPGLE script section in an RPG Smart Page
• An HTML code section in an RPG Smart Page

Some section names will be preceded by a number, which represents the line number the section begins at.
