Context-sensitive RPG reference

The RPGsp Editor supports context-sensitive RPG help.

F1 Help

For context-sensitive help, position your cursor on an RPG operation, RPG built-in function, or an RPGsp special function, and then press F1. If a valid keyword is not found at the cursor, the entire line of RPG code will be searched for matching keywords. This help file is integrated with the ILE RPG reference published by IBM.

Ctrl-F1 Help

For a quick demonstration of RPG syntax, press Ctrl-F1 on a line of RPG code. If your cursor is on a built-in function, the syntax for this built-in function will be demonstrated in a dialog like this:

Otherwise, the syntax of the RPG operation will be shown:

You will either see a description of the operation itself or a description of one of the operation's parameters. To switch between the type of information you are viewing, simply click on the appropriate link (Factor1, Op, Factor2, Result, HI, LO, EQ).
